No matter which of the many delightful Grenada hotels you decide to stay in, you won’t be far from some of the best attractions Grenada has to offer. The island provides a wide range of things to see and do, so whatever you have in mind for your island holiday you are sure to have a superb time.
Take a look at some of the following highlights and trips you can enjoy while based in one of the superb Grenada hotels.
Visit the Chocolate Company
If you like your chocolate organic and dark, this chocolate factory is an absolute must see. You can enjoy tasting and buying bars from their current range of six, including 60%, 71% and 82% chocolate, depending on your taste buds. The 60% chocolate is also available with cocoa nibs in it, or alternatively you can try something different – the 71% bar can be bought with Himalayan mineral salt in it too!
Swim near the Seven Sisters Falls
The island is blessed with waterfalls in several places, but the Seven Sisters Falls are among the most beautiful of them all. They splash into a large pool at the foot of the falls, and many people take the opportunity to jump in for a refreshing swim. This is particularly heavenly if you have opted to hike to the falls through the rainforest. Whether you actually get any rain or not doesn’t matter – the forest is just as beautiful as the destination you are heading for.
Relax on the Grand Anse Beach
Many Grenada hotels are very close to some of the island’s most stunning beaches. But the Grand Anse Beach is regularly mentioned as one of the finest of them all. Even if you don’t want to relax and do a spot of sunbathing you have two miles of perfect white sand to wander along. If the beach seems familiar to you it could be because it is often used to promote the island itself. One look and you will see why.
Explore the city of St George’s
You cannot visit the island without seeing its capital city. You will find it located towards the south west, and it is a popular day trip for those tourists who visit without staying in one of the Grenada hotels in St George’s. If you are an experienced hiker you can hike up Mount Qua Qua to see the city from above – it affords you a spectacular view. St George’s also has a harbour and there is a fort nearby, unsurprisingly called Fort George. You can also find out more about the island as a whole by visiting the National Museum, which is located in barracks dating back to the early 1700s.
As you can see, a holiday to this gorgeous island can produce many exciting activities to get involved with. From swimming underneath waterfalls to exploring museums in its capital city, you will never run short of amazing things to see and do.
